so i'm still waiting to hear back from the school in seattle and it is driving me batty, i mean, i am leaving chicago ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW and still don't even know where i am heading.

i'd tell them to piss off if it wasn't such a good opportunity. i have a chance to teach video, to kids, all summer, at the university of washington--how fucking cool is that?

the HR department is so disorganized that they checked my references before interviewing me. the day i found out, i called and talked to them and they said i was still in the running and that they would take two days and then get back to me. that was last wednesday.

i'm to the point of calling them everyday and telling them:

1. I am leaving Chicago on the 24th., but don't know where I am heading until you tell me.

2. I have been offered another class to teach were I am an online adjunct, but don't know what to tell them until I hear back from you.

It's really, really frustrating. I hate being this pushy for a job, but I REALLY want it. Seattle was almost as home-feeling as Portland when I was out there, and one of my peeps from college marching band is out there now.

Grr.
