Few of you may recall when I first started freelancing with CCFV that I was slaving away on the Algebra for Students ten episode series (on video, not broadcast). I started at the end of October and it went on (and on) until late February. So it was the first professional project I've worked on (excluding Ginker Media stuff which doesn't necessarily relate to what I went to art school for).
And we got some good news today. The Algebra series won a bronze Telly Award for some generic category. I asked Matt about it and it's not the most prestigious thing ever; even the producer didn't seem too thrilled (but then again the series was pretty hard on him; it even threatened his marriage (not really, it was an ongoing joke that he used against one of the whiny consultants that got paid up the ass for little work)). But I'm happy because the first professional project I've worked on won an award.
The Telly Awards website hasn't updated with 2007 winners yet. Once it does, look for Algebra for Students, Schelessinger Media (the client), and/or Center City Film and Video (us). Hopefully the web page will show more detail about the award category.
CCFV also won bronze awards for GSK Vaccines 2006 and On a Date (Use of Graphics). Which is cool. When you walk into the main CCFV building, there's a big glass case full of awards. And of course individual people have awards in their offices, as well.
Anyway. Back to the north Pole music video. I think it's done. Until someone complains.
