Was up until early last morning, studying. Had class at 9am, took my midterm, finished around 10:30am. Jammed home, commuter traffic had calmed down a bit since earlier that morning. Got home, finished a majority of the split water pipeline, minor touches up here and there. Played and practiced drums and percussions for about an hour or so. Ate a quick lunch. Plopped into bed and took a nap for half an hour. Got up, washed my face, combed my hair a bit, and was back out the door at 3pm.
Had an overdub tracking session with a local punk band, cool guys, cool sound, more old school and raw, fuck the overly hyped and commericial shit, that's not what punk rock is about! The studio's air conditioning went out, so we were sweating bullocks in there, we took occasional breaks to get some fresh air, and to release some stale air, if need be.
I had mentioned that the singer sounded like Kurt Bretch from DRI (during his choruses), he seemed well-complimented by that, the guitarist turns to me and mentions that he used to play in an old band with one of the guys from DRI.
Got done with the session at 8pm, got home in 45 minutes, ate din-din, and fell fast asleep. Woke back up, and now I'm here typing this, it's 4am now. Gonna drink some beers and chill out, and try to fall back asleep in a little bit...
Can't wait until the release of Aliens vs. Predator in August of 2004, possibly the only summer flick that I'm actually anticipating and anxious to see. I still have my copies of AvP, released through Dark Horse Comics, first four issue mini-series, first printings. Fox has bought and owned the rights for the last past 8 or so years, it just sat on the back burner, I remember reading about it in Fangoria when I was sometime after finishing high school, and now the bloodbath shall soon be unleashed!
