I've been super fuckin' extra busy. My crappy van has been fucking with me. I've been trying to make up for the school I missed while out on the ship. I've been torturing otters. Tomorrow, I'm going out on a ship with some crazy people that are trying to use side-scan radar to estimate the biomass of market squid in the bay. Yay squid!!!
The ocean is really big.

I went out on a research vessel last thursday. The wind was above thirty knots and there were 18 to 20 foot swells. That made the trip sort of exciting. Instruments were lowered over the side at various locations. I helped get the water samples out and run some test on the samples. I was o-kay while I was outside and could see the horizon...

I've truly never been so ill in my life. there was no way to resolve the "being out at sea" problem as there was no land in sight which made it feel extra hopeless knowing there were many hours left on this little vessel. I locked myself in a tiny water closet and was in and out of consciousness for the rest of the day
