Did I mention that traveling sucks? Nobody should have to go to Newark, Des Moines, Phoenix & Detroit all in the span of one week. No offense to anyone who lives in any of those fine cities but it was a little much. I''m beat. skull

I just finished packing. Another last minute emergency trip. Or two trips, depending on how you look at it. Where I will have to endure endless schmoozing, all the time trying to decipher what is really being said. What's behind the countless lies and exaggerations. Watching everyone and everything for subtle clues. Someone always lying. Sometimes it's everybody. Sometimes it's even me.

So far today I've been insulted, punched in the face, bit off a chunk of my tongue and lost about 20% of my bankroll. I think I'm gonna go back to bed and pretend it's a new day when I wake up.

it is a fun song, i'm glad you dug it. the band is called Budgie - they're a Welsh band who's best work was in the early to mid-seventies. Metallica has covered a couple of their songs, but other than that they're not talked about all that much these days. they're a pretty fun band, at least their first 4 or 5 records, anyway.

I actually try not to use it too often because I hate when women blame every goddamn issue they have on hormones. But I am so irrationally grouchy today I can think of no other reason why I would be so pissy.

Join the "I'm out of it" club. I rarely, rarely get new music when it comes out. Even if I'm aware, I swear sometimes it takes me years like it's literally a savage afterthought.

I thought of this exchange of ours when I wandered into BestBuy (ha! It was right there) to look for Vampire Weekend. I found it and decided I deserved at least one more cd and tried to remember my extensive wishlists.
