Just looking at it brings back some really nice memories of speed walking around the back streets of London with Holley, trying to find the location. I have the a similar sense of direction to a drunk, blind hyper puppy with a broken compass, so not an easy feat! Then we had to whip off at top speed to meet up with some of the uk sg's and some of the us sg's who were over with Sean. Such a fun evening. Which ended in a night/week of craving a sausage roll...thanks to Holley!
As for other business, I was a super lucky lady this weekend and Vortext treated me to a surpise day out in London. I had a few ideas where he could be taking me but I was so so happy when it was The Doctor Who Experience!
I've watched it on and off since Eccleston took over in 2005 but have totally adored it since Matt Smith took over. I think he's perfect as Doctor Who and Amy Pond is great (especially compared to the Catherine Tate character :puke. So here's a few pics from my merding out. I've spoilered a load just in case anyone is going soon and doesn't want to see too much in advance
Hmm, so what else?
I am currently looking forward to seeing this Brtitish movie, although I don't think it's out for a while yet.
And after reading my edwardian and victorian ghost stories, I've truly taken a shine to Edgar Allan Poe. His words are so dark and hypnotic, especially for the era. So next time I have any spare funds (maybe by 2020), I'm going to treat myself to this. It's beautiful!
I did end up going to A&E about my thumb in the end, even though it felt like a waste of time. They told me it looks like I dislocated it and it had gone straight back in. They're hoping the numbness is down to bruising of the nerve and hopefully I haven't trapped the nerve, otherwise they'll have to pop it out again apparently. Yuck. But it already feels quite a bit better after a week. No where near normal but hopefully it'll be back to normal in another week. But after sitting in the hospital I was truly shocked at the amount of parents who had dragged there kids in there with scrapes. Literally! One had sraped his chin, another grazed her nose. Who goes to hospital for a graze! Maybe it's just the way I was brought up. I needed to be sitting in a pool of blood, puking to pass out or have a bone showing to go there when I was a kid.
Anyway, rant over! Here's my fave internet pics of the last couple of weeks!
Now, go look at boobs.
