Facebook is a pain in the ass.
Seriously, I find trying to navigate through all the different settings and edit buttons completely disorienting. Why don't they just have one concise area for editing a page? It takes me an hour just to make a few simple adjustments. *Grrrr*
No...I don't have a personal Facebook. I am just one of the admins for the site's Facebook page. We have had one for the site for quite awhile and recently I've been trying to update it and get it a bit more organized. I shall be working on that this coming month.
Here is the link!! Squeakmachine on Facebook
We could really really use some help promoting it and getting it out there. So if some of you are on Facebook and you have a few seconds to spare.....could you help out the page by liking it, adding it to favorites, or suggesting it to friends? I am friggin clueless when it comes to Facebook so I'd really appreciate the help!
Thanks kids!

I just got back from Pennsic a few days ago. It was a pretty good week actually! It wasn't too terribly hot and we hardly had any rain and the nights weren't freezing cold....soooo....yup, all in all, very nice as far as the weather was concerned.
This year I had my sister and her husband come along:
They look kind of mad in this image but I swear, it is merely the sun in their eyes! They actually had a really great time and plan to come back next year.
They kept me busy the whole time they were there. Pennsic is a lot to take in the first time you do it and I spent a lot of time showing them around.
This year, I tried to keep my hair as "period" as possible:
It may come as a shock to some of you that my hair style could be period. It isn't perfect, but it is pretty damn close. Early Ajanta cave paintings in India show many images of women with dreads piled up into a bun. As for the red color, it was not unusual for women in India and the Middle East to use henna and similar substances on their hair. This could result in some pretty interesting shades of orange and red. Maybe not quite as red as mine is....but that is why it is creative anachronism.
Here is another pic...you can see a bit more of my costuming in this one.
Unfortunately, I don't have a whole lot of images from that week. It is hard to find appropriate times to bust out a camera there.
You have to be sneaky...like this:
hahaha...don't worry. I know the lady next to me. She is actually a close friend of mine. I wouldn't do that to a complete stranger! (okay, I probably would...but I wouldn't post it for the world to see!)
Speaking of friends....
My friend Vairavi got her Laurel! (It is a very high award!) Here we are together right after the ceremony:
My friends were super sneaky and managed to get me to Court (which I almost never attend) so that I could receive my A.o.A.. It was quite terrifying going up in front of all those people! Here is the King presenting me to allllllll those people.
That look I'm giving?
It says "I know you guys planned this and I am going to make you all pay."
So yeah.....Pennsic was awesome! Very eventful!
Sorry I don't have more pics to show you. I just really didn't bring my camera around with me that much. It is too hard to hide it.
If you want to see more.....join the SCA and come to Pennsic!! It is incredible fun and you won't regret it!
