I am so tired of all these cheesy Vampire-themed movies and shows that keep coming out. Since when did Vampires...undead monsters that feed on human blood...become romantic, brooding, mysterious, and...errr...sexy??
Okay, I realize this is not a new development. Anne Rice certainly did her part back in the 90's and speaking of the 90's, Angel from Buffy could easily be crowned "King of Brooding". However, Lestat, Angel, Spike and the lot were still monsters on some levels and none of them ever bothered going to High School. (And at least their writers knew how to put together a decent storyline and some snappy dialogue.)
This High School Vampire/Teenage Angst/Sexual Innuendo-filled drama business has got to stop. And if not....
Well then I propose taking it to the next foreseeable level. Get ready.....
Zombie Romance!!
People love zombies and young dim-witted teens love angsty romance...and what could be more angsty than trying to take on a longterm monogamous relationship with a flesh eating zombie??
We'll call it "Twilight of the Living Dead"...or "The Zombie Diaries".
Anyway, I figure it will be a big hit and probably spawn similar movies and shows with zombie romance as the theme. The outcome of this will be having made zombies less like monsters and more like iconic symbols of lust and sexuality.
And won't that be nice?
Note: To all of those responding with serious movie title suggestions and Vampire history references...please keep in mind I'm being ironical. This is just a facetious and somewhat amusing Twilight bashing post, that's all....not an effort to spur debate on 19th century writers and symbolism. Nor an attempt to fish for movie titles.

Hows it going?
Btw, it is hinted in comments to the article, that there's nothing wrong with books - they are not the ones that make people kill themselves
