my school's having it's first Con this weekend - http://www.amherst.edu/~sffc/conduct Filking was fun enough, but not as addictive as i hoped it would be. Some SF/F authors are cool people, and others are snotty, as i discovered while driving several from the airport yesterday. Also enjoyed a panel on sexuality in SF/F, took photos of a boffing war, and added Scrapped Princess to my short list of viewed anime. A good weekend, though it confirmed my suspicion that i'm really not a geek (no matter how much i pretend to be), and tho it means there's no way i'll finish my reading for this coming week. (But since I've been sick with a cold for the last week and a half, and since my history courses assign about 500 pages of reading a week, it's no surprise that I'm resorting to skimming.)
Still to come: the costume party. My hair is green and silver. My Otaku/Slytherin pal is drooling. His resolve will break when I'm covered in pleather later tonight. I will not be as scandalously hot as Aeon Flux, but I will be scandalously hot. Photos to be posted later.
