After four years of wanting to and never doing it, I finally decided I'm going to learn how to spin records. I'm so pumped about this. I've really loved the music for the longest time, and I definitely have that "fast-twitch-button-pushing" gene.
I also think that the stars are somehow aligned for this... I found most of the gear that I needed super cheap, which I think was part of the reason that I never got into this before. However, I was wasting time at work today on ebay, and I found a guy selling two technics sl1200 tables, a mixer, and a bunch of records. Since we both live in indy, I called him up and offered him a lower price for just the tables and the records, and he agreed to de-list the auction and sell it to me in private, so I don't have to pay for shipping or anything.
In other news, the battle against cheese drinking rages on. Although I told my roommate that we were now going to buy groceries seperately, he went to make a grocery run the other night, and it became apparent that the message hadn't quite sunk in. He spoke with the firm intention of buying "common" food items together, such as bread, tortillas, and other food items which he presumably intented to drink.
At least he had me buy alcohol for him, as he is still underage.... that was something I was more than happy to do.![wink](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/wink.6a5555b139e7.gif)
