Ugh, still no net access at the house. Apparently, companies in this city believe that it is perfectly reasonable to sell you a 40$/mo cable TV subscription as a prerequisite to buy a 10$/mo cable modem.... which ordinarily, I wouldn't mind dealing with, but paying 40 bucks a month for cable is mildly irritating when you don't even own a television....
Anyways, life here has been good. Met notanemoboy and stephaniesays (who appears to have changed her SG name) on Friday... !emo's voice was deeper than I was expecting. Both were quite cool, though, and it's good to know of nice people in a new city.
I've started practicing meditating again as of late. Indy has a zen center that I'm considering joining, but it's rather intimidating... they're having a guest speaker this friday, so I think I'll cruise by there and see what it's like.
To that effect, life has been very interesting as of late. I feel that I've changed a lot in the exact direction I had anticipated, and yet, I'm the same person. I had the opportunity to do something on Sunday that I would have done at the drop of a hat a few weeks ago that I decided to pass up.... not really because I didn't want to, but because I knew it would be really hard on both my body and my mind, and I wasn't really up for something that serious. I guess I may finally be "growing up" a bit... or at least starting to.
