Ive always loved to travel. As I got older I began to notice that I really enjoyed learning about the local customs of wherever I was. This usually wasn't too different from my home but you do find differences even just traveling around the US.
This leads me to my next little chunk. For a few years now ive toyed with the idea of being a travel writer. Maybe this is just my excuse for hoping that ill get picked up by some publication out of the blue and have them pay for all the random trips that suddenly pop into my head! (God wouldn't that be amazing)
Now comes my problem. I have no idea where to start. When I write I just like to take an idea and go with it. I don't map it out and flesh out characters in some little reference guide that i can go back to. I just like to start writing and let it happen. Im not sure if this would be particularly conducive to travel writing.
Well to give it a shot ive decided to start locating all the odd little corner/neighborhood/dive bars that I have in my current residence of Colorado Springs.
If anyone has any suggestions of a particular favorite please let me know!
Wish me Luck!
