Acoording to Palahniuck we are working towards perfection. Suffering and pain are parts of the process that will get us there. i dunno. maybe humans are too pompous. I tend to believe we are the fucking parasites and all of these hurricanes fires and wars are just the earth's white blood cells.
i guess that is a bit inhumane. but so is breeding, buying diamonds, consumerism, fast food, unsafe sex, GMOs, the meat industry, and everything else that fat dumb zombie Americans rely on. i think we deserve what we are getting. like W. said "bring it on..."

I think humans are pompous too. But I think the 'Earth' doesn't care what we do. Life on Earth has always been changing, but has always survived. It will be here long after the last atom bomb drops. It will be here long after the last human takes their last breath.
