so which sense is most strongly tied to your memories?

for me id say sound because music seems to dominate my memory.i remember the song that was playing when i lost my virginity, the song playing when i heard my gramma died. also certain records totally remind me of certain times in my life.

but then also smells. a smell can bring back a strong memory too.
