If there's something I love, it's random facts. Thanks, @missy and @rambo!
1. Everyone has a unique tongue print, like you do a fingerprint! 😛
2. Honey never expires- archaeologists found some 3,000 year old honey in an Egyptian tomb and it was perfectly edible. They probably all were cursed for eating it, but don't quote me on that one...
3. Bonobo chimps used to be in zoos but mostly aren't now, because of their ahem, unique social behavior. They have sex (and all kinds of it, all kinds of positions, not taking into consideration sex or age) to greet each other, form social bonds, resolving conflict, making up after conflict, when they find new food resources, etc. Doesn't that sound like a peaceful society?
4.Peanuts are one of the ingredients in dynamite. Pow!
5. The parasite toxoplasma gondii can only breed when inside the guts of a cat. So, when it infects rats, it literally changes their behavior to make them less afraid of rats. Mind control!
6. Completely blind people don't see blackness like most people assume, they see nothing. Trippy!
7. A group of ferrets is called a business, a group of porcupines are a prickle, a group of squids an audience, and a group of lemurs, a conspiracy.
8. The couple that play Ferris Bueller's parents played another set of parents in the film Sleepwalkers, and were married in real life!
9. Mr.Rogers was red-green colorblind, so he couldn't see the red of his iconic sweater (that his mother knitted for him, aww).
10. If a pregnant woman experiences damage to any of her organs, her fetus sends stem cells to the organ to help repair it. How crazy is that?
This was really fun to put together, I'm looking forward to reading everyone else's!
