Tsk. Boredom's no good. Wish I could help on the job front. Unfortunately, the only thing we seem to be hiring is financial workers. Fancy dealing with people calling you fifteen times a day wondering where their food stamps are?

Yeah, I contemplated becoming a financial worker, but having landed in financial as a clerk...they may get paid more, but not -nearly- enough more to convince me to do it. I would look into government jobs, though. Ramsey County's not the best source as we're hurting for money and the entry level stuff's pretty much frozen, but I know when I was looking earlier this year there were some similar jobs at the federal level in town and they paid better. (Well, they paid the same but it was a starting salary as opposed to being a few raises along the advancement track.) Once you get in, you're pretty well set for as long as you care to do it. And if you know much about computers you may find that those skills are particularly in demand. Nobody, and I mean -nobody- I work with is more computer literate than the minimum required to do their job.
