i love my job sometimes. usually it is pretty dull, but the past few days we have been moving shelving in our stock rooms and the break in monotony was very welcome. and boy was it a workout! between litfting shelves as long as i am tall while 12 ft in the air standing on other shelves and having to literally bang and even kick (or drop kick in some cases) them into their new places for 8 hours three straight nights in a row (without a/c btw) my body is aching everywhere.

but it was so much fun! last night we (three of my coworkers and i) goofed off as much as we could, climbing all over the shelves (at one point grabbing pillows and laying on the very top shelf), throwing stuff at eachother, blasting the radio and playing soccer with a pillow soccer ball.

sure, manual labor jobs can suck sometimes, but its times like these that i remember why i love this type of job so much. especially in a large, closed store with no manager.

i'm covered with bruises and scratches, i'm exhausted and every muscle in my body hurts like hell, but damn was it worth the fun!
