Here's the picture entry I said I would put up. I lost my Nikon camera. I'm sure it's around one of my houses, but whatever. So as a result this is all crappy camera pictures.
Dallas, Texas; Thursday, March 8th:
Experimental Dental School, Macromantics and Deerhoof played at the Gypsy Tea Room
Macromantics put on such a great show. I love this woman, I want her to marry me.
The girl from Deerhoof is so cute, I want to eat her.
Dallas, Wednesday March 14:
That's Tokyo Police Club, they played Gypsy Tea Room along with Andrew Bird, Delta Spirits, and the incredibly kick ass Cold War Kids. It was such a good show and I'm going to be sad to see the Gypsy go.
Then there was Austin.
The first night of Austin SXSW was crazy fun; full of White Russians, Vodka, Gin and Tonic right alongside good music.
there was The Octopus Project
Tha motherfuckin Gossip
The girl from The Gossip is my hero.
Voxtrot was alright. The booze made their set better though. After that, I was pooped, and my friend and I crawled off to the hotel room and slept like babies.
the Second Day:
was alright. I looked mega cute and I followed two friends around and watched them look for apartments.
and the shows that night were lame. Yip-Yip and Genghis Tron put on a great set though. I saw a few more bands but I'm too lazy to remember them, and none really stuck out. The friend I came with and I went to a cafe, and ended up sitting next to Tokyo Police Club, and chatted with them for a while: super nice guys. We ended up going back to the hotel relatively early that night
Third Day:
It started out great. We went to go visit a friend of my sister's at a great coffee shop that served the best smoothies that have ever graced my tastebuds. I loved seeing Austin outside of 6th street. It is such an amazing town.
We saw the Paul Frank Bus
Then we went walking down Congress street, and ran into The Cold War Kids, which sent me into shits, kicks and giggles.
Then we went to Emos to try to catch Finest Dearest but ended up catching Locksley instead. Then shit hit the fan and I ended up having to thumb a ride back to the hotel room and scramble to figure out a way back to my car which was three hours away in Arlington. It's amazing how spoiled rich girls can throw seven years of friendship straight down the toilet. But on the positive side, at least I found out the hard way to never put myself in a vulnerable situation again, and to always trust my gut. Frankly, as shitty as the last day was, it was worth it: Austin is an amazing town and I am so excited for next year. And next year I'll be going to SXSW with someone who won't ditch me while I'm in the bathroom in Austin, Texas.
The drive home was interesting, I had two kittens molesting me the entire time:
Being home has been interesting in more ways than one. I witnessed firsthand the world's worst neighbor at a friend's apartment last night. Two story apartment complexes and super amped up crackheads that turn up the bass is a bad combination.
I leave on Thursday and Friday with a friend of mine (not the rich bitch ex-friend that left me in Austin--she's long gone with a bloody nose) to go to Albuquerque. I've got my job interview and a few places to look at. I am so so so so excited! Then Saturday I'm getting inked, and Sunday I leave early to go to Oklahoma to meet my BRAND NEW DOG! I'm meeting her and having an interview with the foster mom. If it all works out, I'm going to have my own beautiful beautiful dog by next month. I'm so excited my heart is going to pop. Life is going so well right now that I'm afraid to breathe.
here's some pictures that the foster mom sent me:
she's a beautiful deaf, female, papered Pit Bull.
And as of right now I'm off to the library to do research on pit bulls and to make lots of copies and references. I've got such a good feeling about my future and I wouldn't take anything back for the world.
But just remember: Stay smiling, stay positive, love everyone and everything with every ounce of emotion that you have--you could wake up in the morning and it could all be gone.

Maybe you read the blog and somehow granted my wish for rain or have magic rain powers!! Or maybe I just have a really bad memory and saw it was going to rain on the news? I'd like to think a little of both. Well once you are out here you'll have to hit me up. We can do some sort of entertaining adventure like shopping for drapes or floor tiles. Good times had by all...
