Been a couple of days, so here is an update.
My wife and I have spent the last couple of days getting our house ready to rent. The new tenant should be signing the lease today, which is great news for our finances. If we hadn't found someone by the end of this month, we were going to have to move back in and probably try to sell it.
Selling it is still the main goal. Whenever, IF EVER, I leave for the Air Force, I really would rather not have to worry about maintaining a property so far away, and I don't want Lina to have to worry about it while I'm gone either.
Still no news about my job. I'm waiting very patiently for a waiver to go through. If it doesn't, I still go to OTS, but I won't be going to Navigator school afterwards. I was so psyched when I was selected that I can't imagine doing anything else, especially after all of the research I've done. I just can't seem to bring myself to research any of the other Air Force commissioned officer jobs. I'm expecting the waiver to be declined, but hoping it is approved. I think I will call up my OTS guy out at Wright-Patterson and bother him again today. Worst he can say is "No news yet." I would take "declined" over "no news"... at least then I'd know.
The only silver lining is that once I have a job slotted, it should be a short matter of getting me an OTS classdate.
