All in all a pretty good weekend. A good amount of drinking throughout. I think I'll give my liver a bit of a rest for a bit. But maybe I'll start that on Tuesday after the LTJ show.

Friday I saw a nobel prize winner perform in an apprentice spoof and make fun of MBA's. There was also some juggling of knives involved and some...

Today is a lazy day. I woke up bright and early (for me at least) with the intention of getting to school and getting some things done. Then I realized I dont' really have to go today, so watching a movie first couldn't hurt.
I saw Klute, the player and an episode of law and order before getting dressed for the day. Man I'm a...

Perhaps he didn't mean that we would never love again, but love, of all emotions, is a very uncertain one. I think it is possible that he meant, "Yeah, you might never feel this again, but isn't it great that you did?"

That being said, we humans feel all of our emotions for a reason...cutting any one of them out altogether would almost necessarily cut our chances for survival.

Without those simple pleasures, would we survive long? Doubtful.

scrabble with girl303 is fun. she blames the beer intake for her loss to me, so we need a rematch, i think. wink

Turned in my topic to my advisor yesterday. Thank god.
Life should hopefully return to normal soon.

Been geeking it up at a conference at Northwestern this weekend. Good stuff.

I got 3 hours of sleep last night...I think I'm going to pass out early.

I realized I needed to do a complete rewrite of my topic proposal from a new approach. I've been working on it for about 2 months now and it's due Friday. It's ridiculous.

By the time I'm done with it there will be little bits of profanity in between the...

The meet''n'greet on Friday was excellent. Met a lot of very cool people and drank more to great excess and then came the free drinks...

I woke up this morning with my head feeling like a watermelon after a Gallagher show. So here is the equation I've discovered this weekend:

9*(old style)+2*(goose island)-(water before bed)=sledge-o-matic

It was great meeting all of you and I hope...

Cool hanging out with you, too. And I have no idea why JT isn't into you. He seems like a catcher to me.

I wondered around the city yesterday looking for a ne w neighborhood to live in. . I really liked the area around the blue line Division stop. Tons of cheap mexican and some cool looking stores. I also really like this coffee shop called Jinx.

The rent's much cheaper over there as well (compared to the hub at North & Damen and where I live...

So, last week I found out that my ex (we broke up at the beginning of dec just before our 5 year anniversary) had an affair behind my back last summer. And if that isn't a big ole kick to the nuts unto itself. I found out that she is in love with this guy.

Oooh wait here's the part where I fall on my...

Since I haven't done shit in the last week. I'm going to set some non-ambitious goals.

Tomorrow: Write the last two paragraphs of my thesis (which I've been putting off for a week).
Go to Punk Night at Delilah's (I haven't been in a while).
cat:
Was Choke any good? I guess so if it's on your favorite's list. Hum, maybe I should read it.

It turns out that someone actually responded to my last entry with a useful suggestion on how to change my name, so, I think I should say something else.

Here are my new years resolutions:
1) Have more money
2) Work less
3) Find good chinese food in chicago
skeksi:
i can refer to to the best chinese restaurant i have ever been to:

Chi Tung

its a south side spot so youll have to drive there or catch a ride but its one of the only restaurants i will continue to commute to once i move to the north side.

review:

address and phone number is at the end. ive never gotten anything bad there, and ive ordered many many different things in the five or so years ive been going there.
spiked:
thanks for the advice, I should really check out the deep southside anyway at some point
