Today, at the bus station, I picked up a printed schedule of my everyday route.
Suddenly, I realized I couldn't recognize the words on the page. I immediately went into panic mode. I didn't know what was happening. I figured I was having a stroke, it was affecting the language center of my brain, and I should go to the hospital.
The problem is, how do you read a map if you can't read words!? What was I going to do?
I figured they would just find me laying in the terminal with blood coming out of my ear and never know what happened. I sat down... accepted my fate, and waited to die.
Next time I will be sure not to take the schedule out of the slot containing the schedules in Spanish.
