For the second night in a row I've woken up in the middle of the night with a terrible burning feeling on my left wrist. I first thought it was a rash, but after closer inspection I came to the conclusion I had been bitten by something.
I thought it couldn't possibly be mosquitos since it's almost June, the bites hurt more than itch, and really: I'd hear the motherfuckers.
Last night, as I lay awake waiting for my Zapperclick to take the pain away I thought I saw something move in front of me. When I looked at my wrist there it was: A motherfuckin' mosquito. I slapped it as hard as I could, but I never found the body.
What the fuck's wrong with mosquitos nowadays? Winter is less than a month away, the buggers shouldn't be able to survive this weather! Also, they've kept me awake most of my Summers. Why suddenly go stealth?
And why, god why, was it so fond of my wrist? One of the handful of bodyparts where it actually hurts to use the Zapperclick (and yes, I've tried EVERYTHING else; didn't work).
Changing the subject dramatically, the Mormon wedding went well.
In the end it was in a temple, so I guess I was mistaken for thinking non-mormons aren't welcome (though possibly not at the fancy one out of town, which is full of gold and stuff).
What I did mind was when the mormon bishop welcomed all the guests, calling them "brothers and visitors". I guess I've never been fond of religions where we can't be "brothers" unless we believe in the same crazy shit. I mean, even Catholics think we're all children of the same god...
But enough ranting, I had a good time and was very happy for the bride and groom. The food was good too, though I found it really strange that apart from the much expected lack of alcohol, the party also lacked Coke.
Seriously, I don't think I saw a single bottle of Pepsi or any other Cola-flavoured drink, only orange (Fanta, Crush, etc) and lemon (7-Up and all of its cousins).
D'you think mormons are against Cola?
Fun fact: I wore a dress I bought when I was 15 (16 at the most). It was a little tight around the chest and the shoulders, but it still fits. Yay for me.
