My mother called me yesterday. According to the doctors my grandmother won't live much longer.
I was never too attached to my grandmother, but knowing she's dying leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
And everytime the phone rings, I fear the worst.
To a point I'm wishing she'll die soon, so she doesn't have to suffer any longer, but that would also be extremely inconvenient as my mother would have to travel for the funeral and all, leaving my grand aunt (who's been more of a granny than my real granny) to my care.
My grand aunt is 99 years old and just last week we had to take her to the ER, as she was suffering from dehydration. Also, my grand aunt is my grandma's sister and I'm really worried how she could take my grandma's death. Last time one of her sisters died she had a stroke.
Thinking about life and death doesn't make my stomach flu any better.
Jan 18th EDIT: They transferred my Grandma to the ICU today. The flu's better, but I'm getting more anxious by the time.
