As some of you know, these last 2 months have been extremely busy for me. End of the schoolyear, moving house, a total hell!
But it was totally worth it. Moving to this house is a huge step for me. First because it's MY house, and it means not having to deal with Real Estate agencies again. God knows how I hate those agencies and how much they HAVEN'T done for me and my family over the decades.
Second because it's way classier and more comfortable than my previous home, which started to fall apart the last year.
I'll miss the old neighbourhood, saying hello to everyone down the street, elderly people giving candy to little kids and all the shops closing down during nap time (old neighbourhoods value their siesta).
Buuuuuut as much as I'll miss that, I'm really glad I won't have to deal with slum-mentality neighbours who let their dogs shit in the common corridors, obstruct the common and very narrow common places with their trash, plants; that scream 24/7, and won't fix THEIR plumbing problems because the water goes to YOUR place. I'm so glad to leave all that behind!
As expected, moving house on December meant we were BROKE for Christmas, which wasn't so terrible actually... Since we moved near a shopping district, we were still able to afford little presents for everyone in our list. Still, the Mr. and I decided not to give each other anything this Christmas, only put a BIG ribbon on the fireplace. :3
I hope you'll all have a wonderful season, I know mine could hardly be better.
I wish you all the best, now and always.
