It's been a crazy few weeks. Went to Savannah for a friend's wedding and got to go to the beach with the hubs for our anniversary (9 years? seriously? I do not feel old enough to have been with anyone for almost a decade).
Our car finally kicked the bucket on the way home, but managed to buy a much nicer replacement for less than it was going to cost to replace our junker. Got carded to test drive the new car because the previous owner insisted he thought I was 18-19 and his insurance would only cover me driving if I was over 21. I'm beyond flattered, but I've been getting that a lot lately. Pregnancy hormones be kind, it seems.
The belly bean is still doing great. Had a checkup today and we are both doing wonderfully. Little one seems to be getting ever more excited about being a big sister.
We have added a few chickens to our little homestead. Looking forward to farm fresh eggs from happy, pasture ranging chickens later this year. The goats are enjoying some spring pasture at a neighbor's place while we get their space set up at our new home. Our little market garden is growing at a pretty decent rate. The lot here is a bit shadier than our previous home, so I'm doing some experimenting to see what I can grow where. We also have a little less space, so trying out some more vertical growing techniques with reclaimed materials. The move kind of screwed up our food supply, so I'm very eager to get everything set back up.
Everything has been so busy. I feel like I need to get everything possible done before the baby arrives so I can take it easy for a bit after that. I've been very much neglecting everything except work and home. Hoping to get at least somewhat caught up soon. My to do list is finally getting shorter, so I'm on the right path. To those who might read this and have been on the wrong side of my all work, no play approach lately, ♥ you, miss you, and sorry I've been out of touch.
