*sigh* All my friends seem to have fallen off the face of the earth completely since the pregnancy really started showing. What the hell? Every time I talk to them the bulk of the conversation seems to be them trying to make me feel better about the fact that I'm having a kid, which irritates the crap out of me because I'm thrilled about it, yet they seem to feel like I should need consoling.
On the upside, the hubby's buddies have been all kinds of awesome. Most of them are married and have munchkins of their own though, so I imagine that helps. Still, it's really nice to spend time with people that are happy for us, not trying to comfort me like they feel really bad about it. I just can't understand how having a child is something that warrants sympathy.

On the other hand, they should at least make an attempt at being supportive. Bastards.
