Went out to Oatland Island today for research for a poster. I got to see the inside of the new wolf observation building that opens next week. It looks really nice, more like something I'd expect to see at a larger city's zoo than what I've seen out there before. I'm really impressed. They've apparently gotten themselves a grant to do some massive work on the place. I also got to go upstairs and see the old CDC lab areas and what used to be the surgery area, complete with the largest autoclave I've ever seen. It's all in a pretty bad state of repair, but it looks amazing, like it could be a set for Silent Hill.
