Might be doing an art panel at Dragon*Con this year. I had to read the email twice when I got it, such was my state of disbelief. Five years ago I couldn't even pass the art show jurying process. Maybe those massive student loans weren't all for nothing after all.
Oh yeah, and my mom convinced me to do the graduation ceremony for her. Biggest clusterfuck nightmare since my wedding. After getting there at 7am on my first really free day this year, I didn't get to leave until nearly 3pm, not even a bathroom break. Then the brilliant organizers piped us out one side of the building and wouldn't let us back in to get our bags, which we had to check and were assured we could grab and go after the ceremony, unless we hiked around to the other side.
To add insult to injury my family, the people who begged me to do it because it meant so very much to them, left about a quarter of the way through because "it was getting too long."

I only did my ceremony this semester because my relatives wanted me too. Congrats though!!
I'm sure you celebrated afterwards to make up for it, right?
