I went skating tonight for the first time since I broke my butt. Was impressed with myself. After that much time doing nothing but laying around, waiting, I expected to skate two, pathetic, forced out laps or so and be ready to go home. After 4 hours, the date was dying and really wanted to go home. Also, to put the cherry on the top of things, an oversized print of one of my posters was hanging at the rink. Made me feels all warm and fuzzy inside.

Anywho. I don't think it gets any hotter here than it does by you, but there's probably more of it. I think you can also feel how much closer you are to the sun as well, it's weird. There were a few days last summer where it was too hot to go swimming. We only had maybe two days of 100+ but then it's 95 almost daily, and its 85 by 8:30AM. Also it rains A LOT. That's actually the main difference between summer and winter here. The summer is the rainy season, the winter is the dry season. And it doesn't tend to get into the upper 90's in winter. I like it. I'm close enough to the shore (about 10 miles) that there's always a breeze in the summer.
