The fiancee's car finally crapped out on him. I've been having to take him to work waaay to early in the morning for the last couple of weeks, but it looks like not only is he getting another, but he's got a guy ready to buy his car that will pay cash and is going to buy a truck. We really need a truck around here sometimes. So

Last Wensday I get this email that's an invitation to participate in an art auction. Whole deal sounds great except they require a kinda bizarre format (40"x40"... wtf?) and the deadline was Friday. Not Friday a week and a half from the mail, Friday two days after the mail. I'm having some serious issues with last minute notifications lately. So after calling half a dozen frame shops I finally found one that could do a couple of framing jobs in that large a format at the last minute. I took my work in, picked out matting and framing, dropped everything off and 6 hours later everything was done (and I must say I was incredibly impressed by that). I went to pick up everything and realized in my brilliance I hadn't measured my trunk or the door to my backseat. After being framed my work simply would NOT fit into my car. Luckily my roomie's trunk is slightly larger than mine and he happened to be on that side of town, but it only occured to me to call after I sat nearly in tears with a few hundred dollars worth of framing hanging out of the trunk it wouldn't fit in for awhile. Moral of the story is I now have a tape measure in my glove box.

Florida is treating me like someone who doesn't live there yet, because his boss won't let him work from down there, even though there's no legitimate reason why I couldn't.
I'm hoping to be down there by the end of march. We'll see how it goes I guess.
