Ok I just got back from seeing my orthopedic doctor. I got a call yesterday from their office saying that they needed to change my surgery from August 6 to August 7 so that my doctor can have his partner present during the procedure. That in itself kinda worried me! Made me wonder if he has done this before?!?!?!?! Well, I talked to him today about it and he assured me that yes he has, but they are extremely rare and he wanted the other doctor present for teaching purposes. He told me he has scoped around 12 hips in his career, but said that it is really rare. He also told me that because the hip joint is so deep and that they have to almost pull my leg out of socket to put the camera and tools in, that there is a slight chance of nerve or blood vessel damage. At this point, I am willing to take that risk because I am in so much pain right now.
Kinda funny this joker at work keeps telling me i'm getting a baboon hip transplant. HAHAHAHA. He says they will give me a banana post-op.
Other than that, I've been alright. Just working and living, you know. Not having as much fun as I could be having, though. I'm off today and tomorrow! HURAY!

Well, a one day push back isn't that bad... I've had friends who have had surgeries push back a month. Just think, soon this will all be over with and you feel a lot better with no more pain.
