So, a novel. The Distillers, show number five tonight. Every time i see them it gets better and better. They played "Gypsy Rose Lee", I met Ryan (the bassist), caught a drum stick (yet again), and, on top of all that, I met Chloe, who, by the way, I must say, is absolutely stunning in person.
The opener sucked, but I guess they are supposed to. What ever happened to the Bronx?? They ripped shit up as openers. Now we get Vendetta Red?? Fuck that. I mean, they were decent but not as an opener for The Distillers. Danney and I started walking around out of boredom looking for band members. We found our way upstairs (at the Fillmore) after a good ten minutes, and as soon as we found a seat, Ryan, the Distillers bassist, walked by, so I talked with him for a few minutes, and requested "the Blackest Years", which is far and away my favorite Distillers song ever. Quite the decent guy I must say, but no "Blackest Years".
No more than 5 minutes after Ryan left, we were still sitting up on the balcony and I point out to my buddy Danney this incredibly infectious smile on this girl across the way, that I could have sworn I had seen somewhere before. No joke one look and both of our jaws dropped. Something about this girls presence and the manor in which she moved was seriously just downright brilliant.
So after another five minutes or so we head down stairs and wonder around again. I was walking towards the merch table when somebody grabs my arm and asks me who my favorite SG is (I was wearing my SG shirt). I turned around and responded Trixie, I mean, she is the reason I joined SG after all. As I turned I realized that it was that drop-dead gorgeous girl from upstairs, and I just went silent. As she screamed "oh my god Trixie`s my best friend!" I put it together. It was the one and only SG Chloe. It was so bad. I could barely talk. I mean, it was no matter that she was an SG, I have met plenty of SG`s and Im cool with that. It is just as I said before she is just so god damned gorgeous in person it is beyond reason. Everyone who knows me knows that I suck around beautiful girls of any sort, but multiply that times at least a good 100 and thats how bad I sucked in front of Chloe. I wanted to talk but I just physically couldnt. It was absolutely pathetic. I couldnt control my mouth, all I could come up with was "youre Chloe!!" and that was it and I pretty much walked away. I felt like a total fucking asshole. So that sucked in the best possible way.
The Distillers were hot as ever. Always a solid live show. What else can I say? They simply kick ass.
Im getting sick of typing. Summary- today kicked ass because:
-I finally bought a digital video camera
-I got my SG posters in the mail
-I got to hang out with my best friend for the first time in a while
-I was hit on. How often does that happen??
-I got to go to San Francisco, which is always good fun.
-Chloe is far and away the most beautiful woman I think I have ever seen. Period.
-Distillers. No explanation needed.
