It has nothing to do with race, yet you throw around racial slurs over and over again, and use the word Mexican as if it's an insult. If it had nothing to do with race you wouldn't have brought race into it. And you know what I agree, if you felt the need to argue or fight back at that point in time, using racial slurs could have been a way to hurt people who are pieces of shit. You calling them those names wasn't based on race huh? So if every single feature of those people were identically the same, but their skin was white you would have still called them beaner and mexican, huh? You have the right to call anyone anything, but you have to accept consequences (not saying you aren't) If you wanted to tell this story in a truly effective way you could have mentioned race purely to paint a picture, if you really felt it made a difference... if they were shouting at you in spanish or something. But racial slurs NEVER make an arguement more effective or intelligent. Thats a fact. Racial slurs are an easy way out. They are a way of looking past a greater issue and blaming behavior on something as ridiculous as pigment. You think they were acting that way because they grew up in poverty, where people sell drugs to make money. People are prostitutes to support their kids, where the inner city school system doesn't give a shit when trying to change behavior early on. Or do you think its the fact that they may (because you aren't even sure) have been from Mexico. The only thing a racial slur does is argue the second.
