Disneyland was really awesome. Tom and I wore our tails and entertained all the children with them. Tom gave out a bazillion free high fives. we never got to go on space mountain we waited in line for an hour and got to the top of the line when they proclaimed the ride broke down. we could have waited but we still had the new star tours to go on and it was getting really late. new star tours was great, we got the part with the gungans and i was pleased (i used to have a major crush on jar jar binks) we were really bummed to find out that the new cars land in CA adventure doesn't open till june 15th, but we could see alot of it over the fence thingy and it looks amazing.
i'm gonna upload disney pics to an actual album....and looks like i have to resize the images first :<
tahdah!!!! DisneyTails
while we were in the parks, i got a call from my old teacher who has had me work on music video sets with her. she had a gig for me as production designer on a short student film. so immediately after disney, i had hustle to get stuff prepared for the film. (actually, the way my teacher said it, i thought i was just gonna be a pa, but then i met the director and it was clear i was actually full on PD) it was super overwhelming and stressful but exactly what i've always wanted to do. the main thing i had to dress was an apartment of an old grandma character. i raided thrift stores and my house and i thought i didnt end up with enough stuff but everyone seemed to really like what i did. I was in LA for 5 nights and stayed at my cousins place, which was perfect cuz i was not about to drive alllll the way back home every night just to be back in la at 6 in the morning. Tom came with me as an assistant. He was super helpful and people seemed to like him and not think it was unprofessional of me. i think tom is really suited for the film industry. he really liked it. so in the end i got a couple peopled numbers for future gigs. The film is called "Depends" and it is a coming of age tail of an 11 year old girl staying at her hard ass grandmothers house and she starts her period. i have 300 dollars worth of feminine products to return.....i cant wait to see the finished product.
this is he only picture i really have of the set, does it look like a grandma's house? yea....not much to look at
and here are some pictures of Tom
