Happy anniversary to me!!!! Seven Years ago today I pulled into Arizona. I wanted to try something new. And everyone back in sweet home Chicago thought I ws crazy.
My mother and I moved out here when she was offered early retirement from her job. I was getting sick of trying to keep a brand new truck clean and out of snow. I had just ended a long term relationship that was supposed to be "The One".
The problem arose when I decided to pop the question. We went out to dinner. Made love. Then the next morning she confessed she had still been seeing her ex and was pregnant with his baby!!!! So. I took it in my usual stride. Called her a worthless whore and that one day the Karma for this was going to do much worse to her then I ever could. So I decided a change of scenery was good and tagged along to Arizona.
Once here I got a job washing cars at Budget. Made some awesome friends and met a lot of cool people. The best part was I could wash my truck anytime I wanted. I was in heaven. My coworkers and I form a nice little group and hung out all the time. Party, drink, go to work tired hungover and sit around and bullshit. that was the life.
Then one day my friend Brad said he met this girl and thought that i would like her. So we went to go meet her. I had no tats at the time, just a Bettie Page t-shirt. it didn't have her name on it. When He introduced us the first thing out of her mouth was "Sweet, you like bettie Page !?!" Her name was Sara and I was smitten. I was in deep smit.
We dated for two years. It was ended because I had a really bad temper. I never hit her or anything but i was always pissed off. I wish I knew then what I do now, but she's gone.
Well I dont want to end this on a sad note so let me say this. Arizona has been a lot more great than bad. I have a great job, another awesome truck, my own apartment, and great friends.
Oh by the way. The cheating whore in Chicago. Married the guy and he in turn has been in and out of jail for possesion she hardly saw him and had to work two jobs because the have three kids and he can never get work. I love Karma!!!!
