Tonight was a heavy metal nightmare. Five local metal bands in 4 hours. And it just kept getting LOUDER. The metal fans kept the bar busy with an astounding display of binge drinking and the sound engineers wore earplugs and imagined that they were anywhere else. I spent a good part of the evening wandering the parking lot and removing Bush/Cheney bumperstickers from heavy metal rust heaps. I may have not helped the crowd improve themselves in any wholesale way but at least they will drive home looking a little smarter.
