So I watched "13 Reasons Why" on Netflix. I binged the entire season in 1 day. I'm not going to lie. It is an incredibly difficult and moving show to watch. It is very well written and directed. And superbly acted. Katherine Langford, who plays the lead character, Hannah is amazing. As is Dylan Minnette who plays Clay. The entire cast is incredible. There has been some controversy about this show given the subject matter. Bullying. Sexual assault and teen suicide. And because of that, the show is not easy to watch. Nor should it be.
It's been a full 24 hours since I finished watching it. And I am still processing it.
The show really resonated with me because I was bullied in high school and I did think a great deal about ending my life. I really feel that this show can do a lot of good for people. Especially parents. Maybe even watch it with their kids. Who knows, maybe it could get people talking. And possibly save someone's life.
