i met someone recently who has legally changed his name to "Doctor Oolala". he told me that he was going to go with "Mister Oolala" but that was already taken. ah, only in eugene...i asked him if this was a hard name to live up to & he flatly replied, "not really." it struck me as odd that there was no mischievous glint in his eye. with a name like that it should be mandatory at all times...
back from doing a few days of physical labor for $. wow, haven't done that for years. felt good to be outside in the nice weather, but i am scratched, bruised & a tad sunburned. it's alright; helps you know you're still alive.
plus i got see some hawks, an immature eagle & hear an indian (yes, he refers to himself as not as native american, but as an indian) say cool indian stuff like "grandfather always taught me to never pass up a hit" & "the warmth of another is better than a blanket." good times, good times...
