So its the morning of day 1 of my cleanse and I woke up with stomach cramps thanks to the tea. I got the salt water down though just fine, sometimes it makes me feel sick, and I'm taking that as a good sign for the rest of this cleanse. What I am doing is the master cleanse, or lemonade diet lol. Its a strictly liquid diet meant to detox your whole body and help transition into a healthier lifestyle, ie. eating mostly raw foods. My diet has been absolutely horrible and I feel tired all the time and crappy all the time so I am hoping this helps. The point of this cleanse is not weight loss because most of what you lose will come right back if you go back to your old habits and eat unhealthy. The first couple of days you do burn muscle, that is natural when you fast but after than you burn away the fat and release toxins stored in the fat to be cleanse out of you. Its kind of intense but so worth it. I always recommend Peter Glickman's book Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days. Its more comprehensive than a couple of other books I've seen. There is a lot to this cleanse and some of what I post may be confusing if you don't know about it. Like if I say I have horrible headaches and feel so tired and crave food. Those are detox symptoms and go away the next day. I won't be hungry. I've done this before and I will crave food like mad but I won't actually be hungry after the first 2 days. Fasting is natural and good for the body whether you do a short one day water fast every month of a quarterly fast like me. Its your body and you decide what feels best and what is right for you. Wish me luck on my cleanse. My partner is doing it with me so it helps to have a buddy despite how reluctant he is about it. lol
