I've known Naomi for years too. I love her to death, but she really knows how to insult someone through her actions and her cavalier attitudes to her friends when she lies or ignores them.

Don't get too down on yourself with your nihilism. People suck and every action of every human is based solely on their ego and what is in their best interest, don't get surprised when people do fucked up shit to you cause their just looking out for themselves. It's a sad but true reality.
