I wish I could write stories. I've always thought about wiring an adventurer/wanderer like in games like D&D.
He goes around and helps people, but, like the Spider-Man story line (also shown in Remi's Spider-Man 2) he resents helping people and questions why he does it.
I want things like a villager was forcibly conscripted by a tyrant and was a good man. The hero kills the villager as he was brutalized innocent people. With the concept of he was a good guy but with the ability to act without consequence, he became twisted. At some point, the family confronts him about why he didn't deserve to die, the hero can't bear to tell his children the truth and just absorbs the hatred.
Always helping others and if in a situation to make everybody happy, has to take the blame, does so. But eventually gets worn down and fights with just wanting a quiet life and letting evil things happen when he can help, and actually doing what is right.
Eventually, disappearing to be a hermit away from everybody and tuning a blind eye because his soul is just tired...
I got rough outlines, and it would be a story arc if I ever play/run and P&PTTRPG again, but it's not really fleshed out.
