So okay today has been a long day. After believing that I had all the bugs worked out of the buick yesterday, when we went to start the car the carb overflowed with fuel. Yikes major fire hazard. Turns out my mistake, when I rebuilt the carb I put the old seat back in with a new needle that didn't fit right. So the accelerator pump just keep pushing fuel when it shouldn't have thus flooding the carb. Got that fixed cranked the engine and roar!!!! It's alive... Alive!
So we decided to take her for a test drive and brakes weren't keeping pressure! Whaa!!!! A new problem!!!!
But alas I found the problem almost immediately! Yippee for being a smart guy. Yeah it was the pressure switch for the brake lights, appearently it was so rusted out on the bottom that brake fluid leaked out like water bubbling through a sponge. Then where the brake light wires attached to this thing there was a large glob of silicon. The fix a previous owner tried to pull off unsuccessfuly. $6.00 part 15 min installation and bleed the brakes done full pressure no loss and solid brake pedal. Now if I could make more money to replace the exhaust I will have a car that not only looks badass it will sound badass too.
