Okay so after calling Chrysler Corp. and bitching, I put a phone call into the shop again today and the Service "Foreman" picks up the phone....
"Shane, I am sorry we haven't gotten back to you sooner,[funny statement there since I made the call to them] but we have decided to replace your entire wiring harness since we cannot seem to diagnos (sp) your cars problem. The total expense should be no concern to you because we aren't going to charge you."
Seriously? So does this mean I have to wait another month for my car to be repaired now that you guys have decided to finally do something about the car?
"No sir we will work all night and get it ready for you by 10:00am tomorrow morning. Just call Felix your service rep to let him know that I told him you can pick it up then."
Sure thing I will be there at 10:30am after my phone call into Felix then...
It's not that I don't like driving my '55 Buick but...
The car is 50 years old and does still need a ton of work and driving the car only makes things worse, as the rear suspension has gone to total crap the car is now jarring my body around every time it hits a bump. Which means that because the frame rails are weak from age and lack of prior care by previous owners; it's starting to twist under the weight of the car and the rough roads that I drive to keep from getting noticed by police on the interstate. Also it needs a new set of belts and hoses, plus the fifty year old gaskets are starting to leak and the cost of keeping oil in the car is practically doubling the daily cost of driving the car to and from work each day. To add to the danger the head lights are also almost 50 years old and are very dim even with the high beams on. Which to say is not quiet accurate because as of recently I noticed that the lows are totally out and the drivers side headlight has no more high beams either.
Good Grief!
Listen to me I sound like Charlie Brown, and the worlds all laughing at me.
