My mother is selling her house and I have mixed emotions.. I am happy that she is moving into something smaller.. The farm house has been a lot for her to keep up since my father passed away... There is a chance that she will be out of the house before Christmas... I would like one last Christmas in my family home.. A home filled with memories from my childhood and of my dad... Sadness....

I felt the same way when my grandparents sold their home to move into a condo

I had the same kinda feelings when my Mom sold the house I grew up in. She and my Stepdad moved out just a little before Christmas and I was away at school and all so by the time I was back for break they were in a new place... I suppose things worked out okay though.
