We've all had insecurities about our looks, It just a hidden part of our human nature to look in the mirror and pick apart each of our flaws, often wishing on looking a certain way or being someone else,we become so caught up on what beauty and attractiveness should be that we don't realize that the standards to which we are trying to hold ourselves to are often vapid and unable to even come close to it...but what fault are we? we are always watching the media, always soaking up what true beauty should be that we don't stop and ponder to ourselves that maybe we aren't the ones that are wrong, rather, maybe the media is wrong.
Did you know most magazine article on beauty are always photoshopped to make the models skin, eyes, hair, body look more attractive?
Did you know the measurements of the doll barbie, when translated to human size, is impossible?
I wish women these days could look t themselves, ignore what they see as flaws, and just see how truly beautiful each and everyone of them are. Love your body, love your smile, love who you are and what you believe in.
Same goes for guys, so what if you aren't ripped like most body builders, or wish you looked like that one actor.. look closely to who you are, and pay not attention on your flaws but rather, who you have become in your trials, and the best, know that the princess is waiting for you in her castle for you to save her.
I'm not saying its easy to love yourself, nor am I saying its simple to tune out the negativity, rather, what I am saying is put aside all of that and just look at all the good things about you. Make a list of all the things that you like about yourself, whether it be the silliest of things, just jot down the things you like best about yourself and read it every morning. reinforce your positive attributes, not your negative.
Remember that even the most beautiful of people, always feel unworthy and or unattractive. This is what makes us human.
I myself always have image issues, I sit there picking at my flaws wishing I was pretty like some girls, and have even cried about it before, but I get past it, bc I know that I am beautiful, that I am a good hearted person, and regardless of how many times I can get upset at myself, I know deep down that I really am beautiful.
We cannot let others tell us what beauty is, Nor can we let others talk us into thinking that we are not worthy of love and admiration. REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL IN YOUR OWN WAY.
Next time you look in the mirror smile at yourself, open your eyes to a new vision, see only the good things about you, smile more, and just be positive. THE WORLD WILL NOTICE YOU MORE.
Please remember to hold your head high, you are a wonderful person, with goals, dreams and a heart of gold. Remember that so many people love you, and some even look up to you. <3
you truly are beautiful in even my eyes.
