Tuesday evening and I just finished up some "homework"... been rather busy at the office of late so brought home a few things that I've been putting off for a while. Actually felt nice to knock out a couple of things that had been hanging over my head.
The girlie sent me a really fun email yesterday, think she was feeling a little unmotivated at work. Was a count down to a bunch of cool stuff we have coming up. Our Outer Banks trip, moe. at The Beacon in NYC, Devils hockey, moe. in Albany mischief night and moe's Tropical Throe.down in the Dominican Republic.... looks like I should have said a number of moe. shows and two other things (lol).....
Speaking of moe., they are doing something pretty darn neat again this year for the Halloween show. Last year they had all the moe.rons who have been to +100 shows submit a few songs they wanted to hear and then posted this massive list and let people vote, the songs with the most votes established the set list. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. And was a really great show!!!!! This year, they sent an email out to everyone who had bought tickets asking us to submit a Theme. The band is going to choose their favorite 30 and then put those out for everyone to vote on. Whichever one gets the most votes will be the theme for the night, songs, costumes, lights, etc. However, they added a super cool twist, they are going to write a brand new song on the theme. Can't wait to see all the crazy suggestions they get. I submitted "Summer of Love".... not only would the costumes kick butt but I'd love to see them cover some of those great songs from back in the day. I've always had this strange affinity for Buffalo Springfield's "For What Its Worth".
Hope everyone has a great day!!!
