to my boy, wsoxfan, was not at all fun watching your Blackhawks beat up on my Devils this past Friday evening. However, my weekend did redeem itself.....
Got to travel back home to visit the folks for Easter and had a good time visiting with them ,seeing my pup dawg and catching up with a few friends. Drove to the outskirts of DC today... and the gosh darn gps had me driving in all sorts of oddball places...... finally got to the hotel where I have a meeting tomorrow. Sitting at the bar with a few coworkers getting ready to have dinner and who comes walking in? None other than Mr. Mike Shanahan, the new coach of the Washington Redskins. Who was more than happy to shoot the s#$% with me. I had his wife laughing
Then about 20 minutes later Donovan McNabb and his wife come rolling in to have dinner with the Shanahans. I couldn't even make this crap up ya know. I called the girlie after dinner and she asked how in the hell to I pull this stuff off???? My answer, Karma. All about the karma people!!!! Do unto others, treat people how you'd like to be treated, etc.... Do your thing but live a postive life and I swear postive things will happen to you.
and here I was thinking I wasn't going to renew my Skins season tickets this year

What an awesome experience, esecially since you're a Redskins fan. It's been my dream to meet Mark Buehrle, as he's my favorite baseball player.
My fondest sports memory happened before you were born. I was waiting for the White Sox players to come out of Yankee Stadium after a Yanks-Sox game so I could get some autographs. I must have been 11 or 12. Minnie Monoso, who spoke broken English stopped to give me his autograph. When he realzed that I was a Sox fan among all the Yankees fans, he had an actual conversation with me. It was amazing, even though I had a hard time understanding him.
He got so into it that his teammates were yelling for him to get on the freaking bus already. I still have the autograph. He's stil alive and in his 80s. He works for the Sox as a good will ambassador
