Yay!!!!! Today was such a good "work" day. Three day holiday weekend, followed by a three day work week and then off to Utica to see moe. for a long weekend. Can't wait but pounding out work like a mad man so the boss isn't too unhappy that I'll be out Friday.

On top of a decent work day I have some cool stuff to...

I'd like to see the Blackhawks sweep too. What I don't need is for Philly to hold serve on their home ice. That would be cutting it too close.

leave it to some good ole southern boys to figure out a way to clean up the mess in the Gulf....

now I'll need to do some digging on the net to see if this is a hoax but makes sense to me.
wsoxfan:
That's amazing. I wonder if anyone's listening.

I can't see how the Blackhawks can blow it. They're going up against an 8 seed after all.

Yay, Monday's over with! Well at least work wise.

Over the past couple weeks I got turned onto two new bands. Seeing how I'm listening to one of them right now thought I'd share. Both from unlikely sources but surprisingly cool (see below for a free album link & I promise it won't give you a virus)

For all of you out in SG land...

Yes, I will. I had the cat for 18 years ( almost half my life ). So I thought some pix in an album...
And, Bon Iver is one of my fav's.

I'm so out of the loop music-wise. This is very different from past years. I guess I'm concentrating so much on my social and kinky life that there's no room for much else.

Sunday night blues are kicking in. Especially after a great weekend. Girlie and I went into NYC yesterday, saw a really cool Grateful Dead exhibit, complete with back stage passes, test pressings of records, one of Jerry's guitars, Pig Pen's harmonica and all sorts of cool stuff like that. Then we went to Village and walked around a bit. Stumbled upon a little street fair,...

I love the Village. Getting back to excercize and good eating habits is smart. I need to get back to basics when it comes to those things.

I saw most of the game earlier today. That was a huge win. Maybe this is the magical year that's been a long time coming. Winnning the Cup would help deal with the disappointment of the White Sox turning out to be so putrid this year.

Cool, fresh air and exercise.

another night in a hotel..... this travel for work has certainly lost it's novelty. yeah, there's something to be said about being "on the road" as Jack would remind me but I'm traveling for work..... I'd rather be sitting by the ocean pondering the everlastingness of my soul ya know....... my day consisted of being in a meeting that I found to be waste of...

Keep rooting. They need all the help they can get against the Sharks.

The weather here is miserable, so you're probably better off anywhere else for the time being.

back home and think I'm suffering from jet lag? which certainly doesn't make sense cause I was only out west for three days & two nights. huh?

had the hardest time falling asleep and again feeling wound up and ready to go when I should be thinking of bed. Oh well, another good night of ready is ahead smile

keep smiling out there!!!
indiebuddhist:
Jet lag'll take a few take to sort itself out.
wsoxfan:
The way I have trouble sleeping, it's like I have permanent jet lag. I'm sure a little sleep deprivation won't stop you from your appointed rounds.

Oh Vegas, wonderful wonderful Vegas! So I never win any money when I'm out here... well guess I can't say never any more since a video poker machine hit for about $120, about 10 seconds after Boston scored a goal to win over the Flyers this evening! Seeing how I'm a Devils fan watching the Flyers get beat is oh so sweet. And wsoxfan 's...

Like a comforter, but filled with either goose down or a polyester fill.
They're easy to wash, but fitted sheets are a bitch to fold properly.
wsoxfan:
It's flattering to see that you've been keeping up with my Blackhawks. I wish they wouldn't make it so hard on themselves by losing the first game of both serties so far.

The way the White Sox are playing, I need a Stanley Cup final appearance really badly.

I'm amazed that I just stopped gambling "cold turkey" a little over a year ago after gambling for almost all my life. What's more amazing is that I don't miss it.

What a nice Sunday afternoon! The sun is shining and it's half way warm outside!!! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

The wind makes it too chilly for my taste.

The Blackhawks are already facing a "must win".
wsoxfan:
The 'Hawks made it through. That goal they scored in game 5 with something like 13 seconds left was unbelievable.

Sometimes, when a favorite has a tough first round, it turns out to be a wake-up call and they play a lot better the rest of the playoffs. I smell Stanley Cup for my Blackhawks.

Sorry about your Devils.

Go with that choice.

Monday's are just not fun. That painful reminder that I work for the man and all that entails. would really just love to be independently wealthy, but don't we all (ha!)!!!!

I had a great weekend, getting a bit drunk and playing drunk joe kart racin' (aka Marco cart on the Wii) with the girlie Saturday afternoon. Went to the Devils game Sunday night to...

Have fun at the game. With Brodeaur in goal, the Devils always have a great chance.

I'm pumped. the Blackhawks whetted my appetite by finally making the playoffs last year and even winning a first round series. This year, nothing will suffice short of a Stanley Cup.

to my boy, wsoxfan, was not at all fun watching your Blackhawks beat up on my Devils this past Friday evening. However, my weekend did redeem itself.....

Got to travel back home to visit the folks for Easter and had a good time visiting with them ,seeing my pup dawg and catching up with a few friends. Drove to the outskirts of DC today... and...

Thanks for the plug. The Hawks look primed for the playoffs.

What an awesome experience, esecially since you're a Redskins fan. It's been my dream to meet Mark Buehrle, as he's my favorite baseball player.

My fondest sports memory happened before you were born. I was waiting for the White Sox players to come out of Yankee Stadium after a Yanks-Sox game so I could get some autographs. I must have been 11 or 12. Minnie Monoso, who spoke broken English stopped to give me his autograph. When he realzed that I was a Sox fan among all the Yankees fans, he had an actual conversation with me. It was amazing, even though I had a hard time understanding him.

He got so into it that his teammates were yelling for him to get on the freaking bus already. I still have the autograph. He's stil alive and in his 80s. He works for the Sox as a good will ambassador

Yay! Finally got some Vegas pics up!!!! Gotta "love" the size limits on SG sometimes smile

Wonderfully warm day here in Jerz. Was down in Cocoa beach for work this week and it was rather cold and a bit rainy. While up back home spring time is in full effect.

Heading to up to see the Devils play this evening. Will be kinda strange that I'm...

That was one great Saturday weatherwise, at least during the day. The temperature must have dropped twenty degrees last night here in NYC.

I'm a little worried at how my Blackhawks have been playing lately. Too many goals given up except for that 3-0 shutout.
