Tuesday evening and I just finished up some "homework"... been rather busy at the office of late so brought home a few things that I've been putting off for a while. Actually felt nice to knock out a couple of things that had been hanging over my head.

The girlie sent me a really fun email yesterday, think she was feeling a little unmotivated at...

Speaking of costumes. I'm going to a "back to school" fetish party on September 18. I'm planning to go in costume, but I'm not ready to announce what it is yet. It's pretty radical. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the good wishes.
indiebuddhist:
You too dude.

it's late, but Happy Hump Day...
wsoxfan:
Same to you. Sending you good wishes in general, my friend.

About this time every year I start getting fed up with the tourists, better known as Benny's, and this year is no exception. Too many human beings in too small of a geographical area!!!!! Just a few more weeks and local summer will begin.

Another week at the office done and in the books. Supposed to be a nice and sunny all weekend so suspect...

To answer IndieBuddhist's questions..... Benny's are what all us locals call the folks who come down from New York City & the surrounding suburbs. I've heard a number of theories as to why they are called this. However, I think it's the one that has to do with they way the train conductors used to mark luggage back in the day with chalk, BNY. One can imagine a whole butt load of tourists getting off the train on a Friday evening and everyone is carrying luggage with BNY marked on the side.

indiebuddhist:
Ahhh... Bennys is an acronym. Nice.

It might be raining today but I'm still smiling!!!! Been smiling like a lunatic since Thur evening. Why one may ask???? For nearly three years I've been involved in a proposal at work that has finally, finally come to an end and my company won the job. Now the real work can begin. This was a major win for my company and I've got fantastic...

Thanks. Was trying to think of something, tattoo-wise for a while...
Glad your job situation has improved.

Being happy and getting satisfaction from one's job is more important than the pay, in my opinion. I'm happy for you.

Good grief! I'm all for summer and have gotten to enjoy the beach more this year than I have for a number of years but this heat is starting to get to me. Supposed to be 100 tomorrow and that's just a bit much. Never thought I would say it's too hot to go to the beach but have a feeling I'll be saying that...

The heat's affecting me more than it normally would because I'm outdoors at least 6 or 7 hours a day for work.

I used to know someone from the D.R. He said that the resorts are fantastic there. He cautioned that tourists not stray out of the area because of the dangers that exist, such as robberies and kidnappings. I'm sure you'll be careful and have a great time.
indiebuddhist:
Dude, that sounds like it'll be an awesome trip.
The heat / humidity is really bad up here too.

Happy Saturday! Chillin' a bit before the girlie comes to pick me up. We're headed down to the Philly zoo this afternoon to meet up with her best friend, bf's husband and their little girl. Should be a good time. Getting the news that we were headed to the zoo reminded me of the home movies my folks have of me as a really little...

Have fun at the Zoo... People ALWAYS get a kick out of the monkeys, I know I do.
Yeah ... It's been pretty much all of North America cooking.
wsoxfan:
I used to love the zoo as a child and still do. One of my greatest pleasures is taking my grandkids to the zoo. The last time we went was last summer.

I'm sure you had a great time.

America Fuck Yeah!!!!

Happy Freedom Day!

moe. show tonight at The Stone Pony, can't wait!!!
indiebuddhist:
Yeah, he got rocked by him in the first. But buddy gassed himself out.
The only thing that'll beat Lesnar is death, and that's iffy.
wsoxfan:
Happy 4th to you too, one day late.

Sunny and warm Saturday morning, drinking a cup of coffee and simply amazed how much traffic there already is. Walking the dog was a bit of a challenge crossing streets. Guess everyone is coming to the beach early to get their spot picked out. I'll have to check the tide chart to see if I'll be laughing at anyone later.... you see, a lot of...

Tiva dawg is back at the beach!!!!

Picked her up yesterday from my folks. They were nice enough to meet me half way so I didn't have to kill myself driving 10 hours (round trip) to bring her back. Ole gal is 15 years old and going strong. I think a lot of that has to do with her staying with my folks. Her "snowbird"...

Was supposed to T-storm ALL day, but not a cloud in the sky.

Thanks. I can't begin to tell you how much of a difference my daughters have made, and still make, in my life. I feed off of their strength when mine is exhausted.

Grrr on Monday! I hope Monday knows that I like the rest of the days a whole lot more!! Guess the day wasn't that bad other than having a bit of an argument with one of the managers at work. I'm sorta untouchable so I don't mind going toe to toe with the managers when needed. I'll spare everyone the details but the situation doesn't...

Congratulations are in order to wsoxfan's Blackhawks for winning the Stanley Cup. Been a long time coming for Chicago and I'm glad to see the cup have a home there for the next year.

Lazy Saturday morning, drinking coffee and doing a little SG surfing. Wishing it was gonna be a nice sunny day so I could go down to the beach and get a...

Yep, pretty happy about Chicago winning. Really didn't want to see Philly hoist Stanley's mug.
It was a nice relaxing day away from the salt mine I call work.
wsoxfan:
The Blackhawks winning the Cup is a welcome sight, especially after so many years of waiting and the fact that the White Sox have been seriously disappointing so far.

I'm looking for a number of years of contending from this young and very talented team.
