I absolutely hate narrow minded people who come to my sociology class and don't give anyone a chance to speak their mind. I absolutely can't stand alll the fucking retarded people that constantly interrupt others, bash their coments, and fucking make others feel like shit for their own views on life. I mean WTF! Who are any of us to tell another how to act and feel about anything on this fucked up Earth. Especially in the class room, in which mine is 1/2 discussion.... i mean seriously people. Discussion is not persuasion, they are very different. You are not supposed to change anothers views in a discussion, you talk about all sides, discuss all possiblities and levels of involvement and what not.
My ex: Today in class we all commented on our thoughts of the huge sexism problems in America, the fact that women make about .72 cents for every dollar a man makes doing the same work and at the same amount of time. Later on it turned into jobs fit for men and those fit for women. One girl polietly (and i'm not being sarcastic or anything) gave her own opinion that girls should not be officers, or firefighters, or in the army. That was her comment. And instead of the class discussing it with her and showing her valuable points to having lady officials (i.e. women who have been raped may not be comfortable talking to a male officer... obviously!) they chewed her apart for her ideas. They questioned her parents teachings to her, they questioned her values, and her ethics. Now that in some ways good, but only if you do it in a polite manner or so. This was not a rally or a picket or anything where forceful and aggressive voice need to be heard. It's a fuckin' discussion class.
Later I talked to her and she said that she understood those points, but her mom was a police officer and was shot five times in the chest and died. So doesn't my class feel like a bunch of assholes now for being so ruthless. I fucking do, and I was one of the ones trying to give her examples, as well as about 3 others who were all calm about it.
I hate fucking rude people. I seriously will have enough of it one day and just start throwing fists in class. Which will totally make me a hypocrit, I think, but fuck man..... I hate rude people.
